Welcome to the Website of artist David Haswell, painter of the UK National Parks. Here you can purchase Limited Edition High Quality Giclee Prints and original paintings.

National Park Collections

The collection currently includes the National parks of Wales…. Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire. New paintings based on The Lake District, Northumberland, Yorkshire and The Peak District will soon be available.

David Haswell

Former County Architect for Gwent in South Wales, David began painting in 1997, following his retirement from local government in 1997.
His intention is to create highly textured images of the UK National Parks, presented with drama, contrast and bordering on the semi abstract.

David’s ongoing experimentation with painting materials and techniques has led him naturally into abstract or semi abstract work. This folder offers a glimpse into places within his imagination.

Acrylics

The majority of David’s work involves his signature textured watercolours, incorporating basework with a palette knife. By contrast this folder offers work in acrylics, with emphasis on brushwork.
The subject matter and approach to composition and colours are otherwise similar.
